Fancy a punt on the Prem this weekend? We’ve teamed up with professional tipster Liam Newman to offer the best value for money bets around.

This season’s Premier League is already shaping up to be one of the most exciting in history and the action continues with a selection of eight matches this Saturday.

With a couple of high-profiled derbies, along with various subplots developing across the division, it should be another fantastic offering from the world’s biggest and best league.

Here are our betting predictions for the afternoon’s action:

Liverpool V Everton. 12:45PM.

The weekend’s schedule starts with a crucial Merseyside derby and both teams will be desperate for the win following tumultuous starts to their respective campaigns.

If recent head-to-head meetings are any sort of barometer then fans could be in for a thrilling contest. Likewise, both teams have scored plenty of goals this term but also conceded more than they’d like.

Goals should be a theme of the day at Anfield, hopefully the drama will commence early on.

Bet Tip: First goal cored before 25:00 @ 5/6 with Bet365

Chelsea V Aston Villa. 3PM.

Aston Villa’s fantastic start came to a shuddering end as Arsenal tore them apart in the space of four minutes last Saturday. Unfortunately, it doesn’t get any easier for Paul Lambert’s side as they head to Stamford Bridge.

Jose Mourinho’s league leaders have been unplayable at times this season and the likes of Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas are already threatening to take the Blues to new heights in 2014/15. Chelsea will want a big result following that late equaliser from former star Frank Lampard at the Etihad last Sunday and we’re expecting the hosts to flourish.

Chelsea have enjoyed some huge wins over Villa in recent times, expect them to register another here.

Bet Tip: Chelsea to score over 2.5 goals @ Evens with William Hill

Crystal Palace V Leicester City. 3PM.

A thrilling turnaround against Manchester United last week will have given Nigel Pearson’s men a huge lift ahead of the trip to Selhurst Park and we’re backing the Premier League new boys to pick up another three points against Crystal Palace.

The Eagles could be drained both physically and mentally after their extra-time defeat to Newcastle on Wednesday night and we think that will allow the visitors to shine.

Bet Tip: HT/FT: Leicester/Leicester @ 4/1 with BetVictor

Hull City V Manchester City. 3PM.

Steve Bruce’s Hull City are stuck in a tricky patch right now and Manchester City are the last team that they’d want to face.

Hull have conceded late goals in each of their past three games and are now four games without a win in all competitions. Meanwhile, City followed up last week’s phenomenal climax against Chelsea by putting seven past Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night.

Worryingly, star man Sergio Aguero has hit three goals in just 276 minutes on the pitch despite not being back to full fitness. As he edges closer to his scintillating best, opposing defenders will be excused for struggling to contain the mercurial Argentinian.

Expect City and Aguero to tame the Tigers.

Bet Tip: Sergio Aguero to score anytime @ 23/20 with BetVictor

Manchester United V West Ham United. 3PM.

If Manchester United’s thrilling 5-3 loss taught us anything, it’s that the Red Devils are going to be involved in a lot of high scoring games this season.

Louis van Gaal’s frontline is as prolific as any in the division but huge defensive problems remain and solving these will have to be the priority during January’s transfer window. Goals are flowing at both ends for United and we’re expecting that to continue here.

Meanwhile, West Ham have adopted a more expansive approach in 2014/15 and that should help our bet selection too.

Bet Tip: BTTS in 1st half @ 7/2 with Bet365

Southampton V QPR. 3PM.

A late Niko Kranjcar free-kick may have rescued a point against Stoke last week but Harry Redknapp’s QPR are really struggling in the early stages of 2014/15 and those woes are set to continue at St Mary’s .

New Saints boss Ronald Koeman has coped well following the summer exodus of players and Southampton enter the weekend behind only Chelsea. They hit four past a lacklustre Newcastle in their last home game and we’re backing them to enjoy another productive afternoon here.

Bet Tip: Southampton to score over 2.5 goals @ 2/1 with Coral

Sunderland V Swansea City. 3PM.

Garry Monk’s Swansea have been the surprise package so far but they could be in for a disappointing afternoon at Sunderland.

The Swans will be confident following last year’s 3-1 triumph at the Stadium of Light, but the hosts are due a big performance and it could come during Saturday’s showdown.

Bet Tip: Sunderland to win @ 7/4 with SkyBet

Arsenal V Tottenham Hotspur. 5:30PM.

Saturday’s action arguably saves the best for last as fierce north London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham meet at the Emirates. We’re backing the hosts to prevail.

Despite losing to Southampton in the Capital One Cup, the Gunners have gone about their business quite well so far and should qualify for Champions League football with consummate ease in 2014/15. Conversely, Spurs are still struggling for consistency.

The Gunners won all three of last season’s meetings without conceding. Whilst their well documented defensive issues may prevent a repeat, we do think they can claim the three points.

Bet Tip: Arsenal to win @ 5/6 with Ladbrokes
