George Ramsden looks back on a season that won hearts along the way…

How did your club fare compared to your pre-season hopes/expectation?

As expected, but was hopeful we may scrape though and stay up.

2014/15 highlight?

George Boyd’s screamer vs Man City and the fact we took 4 points off the reigning champions.

Season’s low point?

Missing the penalty vs Leicester then going 1-0 down 30 seconds later. I felt physically sick.

Player of the year

Tom Heaton. To be honest I could list 4 or 5, the whole team were excellent.

Was there a particular goal/moment that got you out of your seat?

As above, George Boyd vs Man City at home.

Player you’d be happiest see leave this summer

Steven Reid, and he’s retiring so good all round.

Want your manager to still be in charge next term?

Definitely. He’s the best we’ve had in decades.

You can go back in time and offer the gaffer one bit of advice prior to the season just gone based on what you know is to come. What would it be?

Buy a striker to partner Ings.

Which opposing player received the loudest boos and which opposing player impressed you the most?

Joey Barton most boos.

Most impressive: Fabregas in our opening game v Chelsea. He tore us apart.

If at all, how did the media’s portrayal of your club in 2014/15 differ from the reality?

To be honest it was pretty fair; captured the tenacity and team ethic and I think we won a few hearts along the way.
