According to online media James Wilson’s loan deal to Celtic this January until the season’s end is all but concluded.
The Cutter understands however there is another interested party intent on swooping for the services of the talented Manchester United teen and with Premier League action to offer the Hoops may find themselves nudged out of contention.
Crystal Palace may be flying high in the league this term but Alan Pardew has legitimate concerns over the hit-rate from his forward options with only Yannick Bolasie so far getting off the mark. Despite shelling out £9m on Connor Wickham in the summer the former Sunderland striker has rarely featured for the Eagles and Pardew is already convinced that more firepower is required should the club have serious aspirations for a top ten finish.
Enter Wilson who recently signed a new deal to keep him at Old Trafford until 2017 but looks unlikely to break up the Martial/Rooney partnership anytime soon. Some first team action at the highest level is exactly what the gifted prospect needs and though he has tentatively agreed to the Celtic switch we hear the Eagles have every intention to land their prey.
