Arsenal’s 19-year old midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has decided to play his international football for Ghana despite being selected for the England Under-21 squad for their recent fixtures with Azerbaijan and Israel. Frimpong was forced to withdraw from both games with a foot injury and has now opted for the country of his birth having been raised in Ghana until he moved to London as a young teen. He has previously represented England at both U-16 and U-17 level.
