There is increasing speculation concerning the next destination of stone-faced 4-4-2 merchant Fabio Capello once he finishes his unimpressive tenure as England national coach following next summer’s European Championships. The smart money appears to be on the 65-year old accepting a huge final pay-day by joining FC Anzhi Makhachkala’s Russian revolution to replace – or even to mentor – their current care-taker manager Roberto Carlos.

Carlos has this week imposed a media ban on interviews after a string of ficticious quotes were wrongly attributed to him linking Robin Van Persie to the moneybags outfit on the Caspian Sea. There is no doubt however that Anzhi will indeed improve on their present squad in January and add to their already astonishing recruitments that includes the likes of Samuel Eto’o and Carlos himself.

Their search for a world renowned top-class coach though is expected to be put on hold until the summer of next year with Capello firmly in the frame according to reports online and in the Russian press.

Just Who The Hell Are Anzhi Makhachkala?
