As we near the end of another enthralling season the Cutter picks out the five stars who have shined the brightest.

John Terry

Whilst most of the plaudits and praise for an almost flawless season from Chelsea this year will no doubt be given to the likes of Nemanja Matic and Diego Costa we shouldn’t forget yet another fantastic performance put in by their fearless defensive leader John Terry. Continuously like a rock at the back for the blues the team overall have conceded just 27 goals all season, and this is mostly due to Terry’s strength, determination and focus for every second he’s on that pitch.

Harry Kane

This season has quite literally catapulted Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane in to an international star. The Spurs striker has put away no less than 31 goals this season so far for club and country and has certainly made an impressive impact on the game. He made his senior England international debut back in March, a game in which he even scored. Even though Tottenham are still chasing a fifth spot in the premier league finish this season it can’t be argued that Kane has had much to do with their winning ways in 2015.

David De Gea

Despite recent reports that he would still very much like to stay at Manchester United, Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea is one of the favourites to join Real Madrid at the end of the season. It’s also another great reason to place a wager on the Los Blancos winning their second consecutive Champions League title using a Boylesports bonus. De Gea has performed sensationally this year and has been very much responsible for literally keeping Man U’s particularly disappointing season semi-respectable.

Alexis Sanchez

Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez was acquired by Arsene Wenger at the beginning of the season and he has already injected an imposing level of fresh attack for the Gunners. He has scored an impressive amount of goals on his debut season and was even named in this year’s PFA Team of the Year making him one of the most exciting signings this year.

Diego Costa

As Chelsea have already been crowned champions this season one particular and prominent character from their main squad line-up that has really helped lead the blues into picking their 4th Premier League title is Diego Costa. The Spanish striker has so far managed to notch up 19 goals this season making him the leading goal scorer for Chelsea and his ever welcome flair and presence in the squad continues to influence his teammates on a weekly basis.
