Tottenham fans were left head over heels with the performance of French powerhouse Moussa Sissoko during their Champions League tie against Manchester City on Tuesday evening.
The midfielder, who has been a mainstay for Mauricio Pochettino this season, came up against Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho but had the Spurs supporters drooling on Twitter over what they saw.
The Daisy Cutter has rounded up a load of the Tottenham fans’ gushing tweets from Tuesday’s European clash:
Sissoko is a massive key to this. His engine and ability to cover ground is unbelievable.

Say what you will about Sissoko, the man has got incredible stamina and he showed exactly that against City. His long strides saw him cover nearly every blade of grass during the 90 minutes and he showed up his counterpart in Fernandinho with his non-stop running. He might not be the most technically gifted, but he is an impressive athlete.

Cagey half, with a bit more quality up top, who knows….City think they’ll just do us in the 2nd leg….make em pay boys, COYFS. Sissoko brilliant. #COYS #THFC

Bold claims coming from the Tottenham fans and quite frankly, not entirely accurate. Mousa Dembele was one of the most complete midfielders the Premier League has seen in recent years, offering both impeccable ball control, huge energy levels and brilliant passing ability and vision. Sissoko is a willing runner and a powerful presence, but he is not in the same ball park as the Belgian.
Think I love sissoko

Sissoko as Tottenham player of the year? It would be a huge shock. He has been good, but not that good.
First half summed up with VAR will ruin football, along with the rules and what is handball! Eriksen should be nowhere near set pieces, he is dreadful! Tight game and could go 1-0 either way! Sissoko a beast again!
