Aston Villa fans have slaughtered the performance of Tammy Abraham against Rotherham on Wednesday night.

The striker missed a penalty in the first half with a tame effort which rolled into the hands of the goalkeeper and the Villa Park faithful were left tearing his overall performance to shreds on Twitter.

The Daisy Cutter has rounded up a selection of the fuming tweets from the Villa faithful:

Having been banging in the goals left, right and centre this season, you would expect there to be no confidence issues affecting Abraham but he certainly did not look like he was expecting to stick the ball in the back of the net. That should be a massive concern to Villa, as Abraham has been their almost exclusive source of goals this season.

Despite being one of the top scorers this season, there might well be an argument that Abraham should have even more under his belt. This penalty miss aside, he has been known to pass up a number of opportunities throughout the campaign – the Villa faithful will be praying it does not come back to bite them in their hunt for promotion.

Abraham is not a target man and he never will be but there is no doubting he still looks to be lacking the physical presence necessary up front. If he could bulk up and become someone who can challenge defenders for the ball, he could become the perfect striker.
