Manchester United fans were left flooding to Twitter to rave over the performance of midfielder Scott McTominay in their Champions League clash against Barcelona.
The 22-year-old was named in a midfield three alongside Paul Pogba and Fred and put in a shining performance against the Spanish giants, who were able to boast a trio of Sergio Busquets, Ivan Rakitic and Arthur Melo in their starting XI.

Some bold claims coming from the Manchester United faithful. He is only at the start of his career and has a long way to go before being a regular in the starting XI, let alone to be named captain. Still, the influence he managed to impart on the game was remarkable considering his age and lack of experience and if he continues to grow at the rate he has done, he could become a hero at Old Trafford.
